Fatherhood and Hollywood

Apparently, this is a thing. I’d like to hope that something other than straight-up degeneracy might be produced by the mainstream film industry. Do I dare get my hopes up?

  1. Marketing as well. Fathers Day is around the corner. Who knows?

My father I knew but really didn’t. He married later than most in his generation. He worked as a Union foreman in contstruction after his Journeyman apprenticeship which he was finishing up when he met my mother. He was a man who could “fix” anything. I mean anything, and was an accomplished “craftsman” in his own right. Cabinetry. Furniture. The house I gew up in, he built. Yes, even the foundation and electrical and plumbing.

He was there. He never abused my mother, nor myself and brother. He never had a side woman. I think he took a hand to me twice in my life (both times I richly deserved…once with his belt when I was seven. The other when I was about sixteen. Knocked me on my ass, and he DID have the last word)

The only time we did get along as “father and son” was when we went camping / hiking / canoeing together. My mother encouraged this as much as she could between us because she understood that there was really nothing else that held us together.

During college, I was not allowed to “come home” for the summer unless I had a summer job. That was his rule. I was made to pay rent to him during summers home too, to him.
    (firts
Then we just drifted apart. Grad school, moving to California……..rarely coming home……when we did see each other. It was a polite hello, a short chat. He wasn’t too interested in my life or accomplishments. When I fell deep into drink and drugs. He was done with me before my mother. He remarked in 2002 on the phone “Hey, you want to grow up….give me a call”

Almost seven years went by before I made that call.

Still afar, and not close (we never were) he DID forgive me, and stated he did. What a lucky thing indeed. I respect him now more than ever if truth be told.

  2. Sure (re: getting your hopes up) ..

But .. as a man who see’s the world thru a different spectrum of color (Red-Pill v BP) .. try not to grade it to harshly.

    Will you ..

    A) Hopeful talk .. Don’t let your perfection destroy the good that may flow forth.

    Or ..

    B) Real talk .. In reality no BP production will help our RP causes. It’s meant to guard against a mass walk off the plantation.

Either way .. I’m pulling for ya’ .. heh!

  3. It is times like this when Dalrock’s retirement reveals how much of a vacuum has been left.

Brad Wilcucks, who spends every single day trying to sucker new victims into slavery, is already preparing to undermine fathers, as he does each year :

This faggot has been corrected by thousands of people (just see the massive downvote volume on his YouTube videos), yet spouts the same cuckservative crap endlessly (as he is paid to do).

How does someone like this live with themselves?

  4. Never knew fatherhood involved wearing a pink wig and going blackface!

There’s a weird undercurrent in this trailer; it’s hard to pin down. Maybe I’m just so used to seeing hollywood mock fathers that anything positive coming from them strikes me as insincere.

  5. And what did Dalrock do? Called him a “cuck” told us all to just……well………….ummmmmmmmm……….hmmmmmmm……………yeah, nothing. No solutions to counter this. Just call him “names” that’ll fix him.

No one except you is upset by this “huge” vaccumm left by him. Wait……Roosh is still around. Scott seems to be the big man in the room lately. Jack over at Sigma has it all figured out…….and Deep Strnght is “standing up”

    Plenty of room there!

Dalrock has closed. But “Wilcucks” is still posting………..

  6. Wight of Leeds ..

You have every right to believe that follywood is our enemy.

And justly be critical of them ..

Because they have pushed / nudged / forcefully advanced the idea’s of the left .. more leftward, deviant and perverse every step of the way.

If anything this may just be a flick about enforcing conquered ground and nothing more than rubbing pur nose in it (i.e. their victory) .. well .. all the real men left on planet earth .. the others think this normal so it wouldn’t be painful for them.

  7. No one except you is upset by this “huge” vaccumm left by him.

I remember you felt insulted by Dalrock, or perhaps only by some of his commenters. Now you are being insulting to him; and your statement is also incorrect.

  8. I really hope that Boxer’s find is legit. Certainly appears so, given that it is not just a bunch of random guys on the film, but rather a bunch of celebrities. (Not that I think celebrities have opinions more valuable than the rest, but simply that it would be more difficult to get a bunch of them to make statements for something that is a joke.)

Would be nice to have one film to portray fathers as valuable, and as loving members of their own families. Would be great if this was the norm rather than the exception, but you need to start with one….

  9. JPF,

I remember you felt insulted by Dalrock, or perhaps only by some of his commenters. Now you are being insulting to him; and your statement is also incorrect.

    +1

Jason is just a troll who wants attention. No man was offered more help by more other people across more websites than Jason. He squandered it all, and got banned from almost every blog. His extraordinary lack of success with women was less surprising after this situation unfolded.

Plus, Wilcucks is actually paid, via a cushy full-time job, to do his evil work, whereas Dalrock’s work was an unpaid hobby. Jason’s ‘point’ is pathetic even by HIS standards (which is saying something).

On to the actual facts, Dalrock did in fact destroy Wilcucks’ entire scam with solid logic across at least FOUR articles :

Wilcucks is only getting brave again, now that Dalrock has retired. But people still hammer him down on Twitter with citations to Dalrock’s articles. That is why it was exceptionally important for Dalrock to keep his archives active.

  10. “I remember you felt insulted by Dalrock, or perhaps only by some of his commenters. Now you are being insulting to him; and your statement is also incorrect.”

Not insulted by Dalrock. I am a little tired of everyone making him into some sort of “prophet” when he just reported on things he noticed and spent a lot of time calling fellow christians like Warhorn media et al…..as white knights, and spent a very large amount of time telling everyone that chivarly ruined the chirstian faith in 1120 or whatever, but somehow he is immune to this……….and tying it to romantic poetry, feminism…the reformaition, the crusades, the piles of blood spilled in the name of the christian faith over the centuries…….nope, “all a bunch of feminist / white knightin’ cucks…….”

But he overcame this by just saying to people “he’s anti-chivalous”

He had some good insight. He had some decent articles over a VERY long run, but really……..he stopped because there really wasn’t anything left to say. Perhpas he’s planning new adventures…..maybe he’s just enjoying being a dad and married life a bit more. (i know, I know………its impossible to have a good marriage……..your wife unless she has a visceral look will want to upsur you and take you for everything, and even if she does…she’s lying or pretending)

Heaven forbid he loves his wife and children…if he said that!

The commentors in Dalrock I had more of a problem with. Still do if truth be told.

  11. Anon…four articles out a gazillion. Wow. Stop the world. Feminism is over. Real men are running the church. All women are subservient and listen to men now!

Again Anon, the help was “move to a foreign country, learn the language, the culture, study real, real hard, get a STEM job and all the Slavic women / Southeast ASian women will be lining up outside”

    “read Bang Poland”

“just go up and talk to women, they don’t bite, they just want “authentic” leadership”

I get banned from sites because I challenge foolproof theories that have holes in them.

Dalrock banned me because I dared him.

  12. Dear Jason:

The commentors in Dalrock I had more of a problem with. Still do if truth be told.

This is an important point. I didn’t realize how difficult it was to manage comments until I opened this blog up and started accepting comments on my articles.

Dalrock had a sort of anarchic style. He rarely banned anyone, and when he did, it was always people who were completely beyond the pale of disrespect. This allowed maximum participation, but it also drove quality out. It’s the catalyst for cliques to form and interesting people to be silenced in favor of a herd of “yes men” who don’t really have anything to say, and only pop up to kiss the poster’s ass.

In the beginning, I didn’t care about comments myself, and then I rapidly noticed (surprise, surprise!) this place going down hill in precisely the same way. Like a naïve idiot, I thought the pattern didn’t apply to me, or something.

Anyway, look at any large blog (iSteve, heartiste, etc.) and you can see the same process at work. No matter how great the articles are, comment quality on an uncultivated forum always slouches toward mediocrity.

  13. Dalrock was full of asslickers. I dared him to ban me. He called my bluff and did so.

I guess I had the only decent upbringing in the USA and a decent father who loved, provided for and was there for his family. My dad didn’t need movies, TV shows, books and women saying how great “dads are”
Nor did he need Dalrock to tell him the obvious.

He just had a wife that was on the same page as him with what he wanted out of life. The ‘sphere’s mistake is thinking there is some magic code, or fairy dust that will make everything work…and even then….failure is around the corner!

Feminism! Evil chivarly! Poetry! Men who have no game are RUINING the world…..and we He-Men are powerless to do anything to them! Let’s call them names!!!!!”e

That’s your ‘real manhood today, hence why so many have miserable lives.

Men like myself and others “understood” the shortcomings, the genetics, the bad luck and a christian god that could care less about anything in your love life.

The sphere for all its “posturing” on how bold they are, or real men they are…..they spend 99% of their time of utting down men who should have none of their time wasted. It’ high school for adults, hence the failure of their “movement”

  14. I guess I had the only decent upbringing in the USA and a decent father who loved, provided for and was there for his family. My dad didn’t need movies, TV shows, books and women saying how great “dads are”
Nor did he need Dalrock to tell him the obvious.

Really .. you are the only kid .. in the USofA .. to have this? Male Bovine Fecal Matter!

Frankly I can’t believe I read that much of your response .. normally I just plain ignore your posts.

  15. “Would be nice to have one film to portray fathers as valuable, and as loving members of their own families. Would be great if this was the norm rather than the exception, but you need to start with one….”

    Honeycomb. Was responding to this.

Evidently no one in the USA has ever had this. Notta one

  16. A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link. Marriages are only as strong as their weakest vessel.

I had a great father and a good upbringing. Some of the methods my father used to maintain good order were, of necessity, straight off the “Power and Control” Duluth-Wheel. LOL
My father’s home was only as respectful, obedient, and orderly, as my mother and our laws would permit him to keep it. Clearly our “justice” system and our women’s rebellious preprogramming has rapidly gone rancid since then. The “churches” were against fathers using the tools necessary to maintain control, even in my father’s time. And today they flatly oppose all patriarchal control, and the Bible passages that prescribe it. The “church” forfeited in the culture war. And the hirelings continue to take a dive instead of fighting for God’s ways.

  17. I was musing to myself last night before bed and I’ll pose the idea that we shouldn’t even celebrate fathers day anymore. My father hated the day for the fact of “Hell, why do I need a day to celebrate what I am supposed to be doing anyway? I get to sleep-in for an extra hour? My wife takes me out to breakfast……we do that anyway.”

The Christian men lament every year about how “church and society hate men anyway” Do we need a special day to reward men that fathered a child? Wow. Not really hard to do, and plenty of men are indeed fathers who have really no business being one.

Even my church celebrated the “single moms” on fathers day because they had to be the dad as well.

If fathers need a day to reaffirm their biology and are that insecure, well………we’re in more trouble than I thought.
If we need to have movies that “honor” or “respect” fatherhood…….all one has to do today is turn on any retro TV network, surf the Internet and find “Leave It to Beaver”, “My Three Sons”, “Eight Is Enough”, “Make Way For Daddy”, “Father Knows Best”, “Family Ties”, “The Cosby Show” and countless others. Plenty of good books, plenty of articles and newsclippings about “fatherhood” are out there. One just has to look.

If a man needs the “culture” to reaffirm his genetics about how “wonderful” he is, perhaps they should take some of their own advice about getting “confidence”

  18. “If fathers need a day to reaffirm their biology and are that insecure, well………we’re in more trouble than I thought.”

As per the ancient principle, “”Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you”, Father’s Day should be about honoring fathers, not being honored. Father’s Day should remind everyone how valuable to society fathers are.

  19. ”Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you”

That was in reference to Israel, and the land god was going to steal for them…..I mean, give back to them…….because they left, and abandoned it for Egypt.

I suppose I should have thanked my dad for getting me here, but its no life I would wish upon anyone. christianity is a faith overall for “the blessed” and anyone else must live in misery and be happy, applaud, and be in awe of “the blessed”

I know that is not what its supposed to be, but that is what it is….yet…I am the one who is “suppoed” to somehow navigate this “by him and him alone” and when I don’t get results. I just didn’t try hard enough.

modern christainity has painted itself into a corner where a few get to sin, get forgiven and well…..are blessed….the rest must live in dire sorrow for anything or everything they did.

The Hindu “caste system” in India functions on a very similar principle.
